Your Computer Mind

Now it is time to talk about something that you really DO need to get a handle on.

Understanding this will help you make a lot of the changes that you want to make in your life.

When we talk about the mind, we are talking about two different things.

Our minds are split into two different parts.

One part being our "conscious" mind and the other being our "sub-conscious" mind.

You have probably heard that before.

I am not going to go into a long lecture about the differences.

I WILL tell you that the conscious mind is the one that we are aware of and the sub-conscious one is the deeper one that does all of the auto pilot stuff for us.

If you really want to know all of the details about the differences, do some research on it.

There is a lot of information out there about it.

I will just go into what we need to know for the work that we are doing here.

Let me just say that our lives are run more by our sub-conscious mind than our conscious one.

I am going to use the old computer analogy to help you to get an understanding of this.

Here you are, sitting at your computer.

You can consider the "you" sitting there as the conscious mind.

The computer that you are sitting in front of can be thought of as the sub-conscious mind.

You can sit there and play games, write emails, create databases, read books and a whole lot of other stuff.

But, you can only do what the computer lets you do.

If you try to go against what the computer lets you do, it doesn't get done.

If you try to fight the computer, the computer will win.

The computer has a lot of programs inside of it and it is capable of doing a whole lot of things.

Most of them you don't even know about or what they do.

What are these programs in the computer and where do they come from?

Here, I am going to give you the simple answer.

Everything that you have ever seen, heard, tasted, smelled, read or experienced in any way is stored in that computer inside your head.

They all combine together to create all of your beliefs, habits, values, work ethics, abilities, limits, skills and everything else about you.

Those are the programs that we are talking about.

We just don't call them programs.

We call them beliefs, habits, values etc.

They come from all of the information and experience that we have ever had in the past.

They are the programs that we live with and they set the parameters that we live within.

You just need to know how to work with the computer to get the things done that you want to get done.

There are times that you want to do things that go against the computers parameters.

When that happens, the computer will block you from doing those things.

When that happens, you have two choices.

One choice is to just quit and stay within the boundaries that the computer sets up for you.

The other choice is to reprogram the computer.

Yes, you can change some of the programs in that computer inside the head.

And it is not that hard to do.

If you don't mind living the life that you are living now, that's fine.

If you want to make some changes in your life, let's keep going.

It's not going to be all that hard to do at all.
