Hi {!name_fix},

Welcome to my Creating Your Own Life newsletter.

The purpose of this newsletter is to explore how we can make
changes in ourselves which will create changes in our world.

We will do that by making simple changes in our thoughts,
words, actions and expectations.

As we change our beliefs about ourselves and the world, our
lives WILL change.

Our lives WILL change from the inside out.

Here, we will find the tools and techniques to help make
those changes happen.

I hope that you enjoy it.

If you enjoy this newsletter, pass it on to other people
that you think would enjoy it.

Hi {!name_fix},

Welcome back.

I hope you have had a chance to look at how much habits play
a part in your life.

Last week I talked about changing one habit at a time.

How do we do that?

The first step, as silly as it sounds, is to know what the
habit is.

What is the habit that you want to change?

Write out just what the habit is that you want to change.

Just make it a simple statement without putting any
judgements on it.

"The habit I have is biting my finger nails."
"The habit I have is smoking cigarettes."
"The habit I have is procrastination."
"The habit I have is eating a lot of snacks between meals."

All that we are doing here is naming the habit.

There is no judgement going on here.

Just bring the habit to your awareness.

Know just what the habit is.

And just do one at a time.

Once you have named the habit, list all of the ways that it
serves you.

YES, that habit does serve you.

That habit DOES do very positive things in your life.

Biting your fingernails does serve you.
Smoking cigarettes does serve you.
Procrastination does serve you.
Eating snacks between meals does serve you.

If it didn't serve you, you would not be doing it.

You may not like the results of that habit but the habit
itself DOES serve you.

The next thing to do is list all of the ways that the habit
creates problems for you.

What is it about the habit or the end result of the habit
that creates problems in your life?

How is that habit holding you back or hindering you?

The last step is to find something that you can replace that
habit with.

What can you do to replace that habit so that you can enjoy
life more?

I will go into more detail on all of this next time.

The next newsletter will be longer.

Meanwhile, see what comes up for you.

Let me know what you think about all of this.

Feedback is important to me.

Have a great day.
